I didn’t just move to Portland; I was built here. From Hosford and Cleveland High to Portland State, my life has been a map of this region—with much of my time being spent in Southeast Portland. My approach to construction is the same as my approach to the Pacific Northwest itself: you have to respect the elements, understand the history, and show up even when the weather isn’t cooperating.
A Foundation of Precision
My background is a blend of high-level discipline and hands-on grit. Whether it was mastering the JLPT N3 Japanese proficiency exam—a feat requiring obsessive attention to detail—or providing concierge-level service as a snowboard instructor at Sun Valley, I’ve always operated at a professional peak.
I’ve spent my life in the outdoors, skating Portland’s streets and paddling out on the Oregon Coast 2-3 times a month since I was 18. That lifestyle taught me that there are no shortcuts. Whether you’re dropping into a wave at Short Sands or framing a custom deck, success comes down to two things: preparation and persistence.
From Bend Dream Homes to SE Portland After honing my craft on the luxury builds of Bend Dream Homes in Tetherow and spending years growing Rosco’s Contracting LLC, I founded Griff Construction. I’ve taken that "big project" experience and scaled it down to a personal, focused level where I can be involved in every detail.
Preserving the Character
I specialize in the essential elements of a home: interior sheetrock and lath-and-plaster restoration, windows, and exterior structures like decks, fences, and pergolas. My mission is simple: to preserve the architectural soul of my home city. I’m passionate about restoring Portland’s original charm to its former glory, ensuring our neighborhoods maintain the character that made me love them in the first place.
